Don't wait.
There are about 7 months until our wedding day. 7 months to do this and that, tie up loose ends, place orders, organize details, check things off the to-do list. It seems like a very long time, but then it's only 7 months! My year cushion of planning time, even my 9 month cushion, is now shrinking and although I'm not overwhelmed, I am not as on-top of everything as I should be.
Between the countdowns on the knot and my own calendar, things are slowly piling up as I continue to flutter around on the web reading countless blogs. I find myself putting off updating the budget or finding a makeup artist. And although there are some things I can put off for the moment, like groomsmen ties and candy purchases, to-do lists tend to grow rather quickly.
It really didn't hit me until just now. The month of February passed me by. Days have faded into each other, even if we got a few things done last month, we were not on the top of it.
So now is the time to get excited and get moving. Spring is coming with it's longer days, blossoming flowers, energy, and new life. This reminds me of Weezer's "Photograph". "If you want it, you can have it, but you gotta learn, to reach out there and grab it"! So true. It's time to get pumped.
I can't wait!

the countdown is a great motivator! I have just 3.5 months to go and I can't hardly believe how fast it's coming up.
I try to do a little bit every single day...to avoid gettnig overwhelmed and to make sure I get all these little projects done way ahead of time (there are always more projects than you think...so if you stay ahead you can avoid going insane!)
First of all - throw out those calendars and timelines. Just kidding. They are actually really helpful but can also make you feel really behind. I only have 4 weeks to go and no idea about make-up yet. Eek!!
I feel the same way, I have just over 6 months and I know it will go by SO fast with everything that will be happening between now and then.
I just can't wait for spring. Sunshine and warmer weather always motivate me.
