When I have a brand new hairdo: TEAM Hair & Makeup Reivew

I knew I needed a makeup artist & hairdresser to travel to my hotel room the day before the wedding. There were a few people I had considered, but the talk of the town was TEAM hair & makeup. A bit hard to get a hold of at first, but once I was booked they were very helpful, super nice, and scheduled well.

Known in the SB area and having done hundreds (maybe thousands) of weddings and events a year, they were a very good choice. During my trial, Kelly was very helpful with the look I was going for, kind, and had good opinions and ideas. She wasn't afraid to add extra things (change eye shadows and lip gloss colors) and took some photos for reference later.

On the day of my wedding, Kelly and another associate (name slips my mind) arrived bright and early. Once in our suite, they set up and began working. We had requested hair for the MOB, makeup for 2 bridesmaids and 1 MOH, and hair and make up for myself. Kelly started hair on me (teased and curled and let it sit for a while) then did my mother's hair. Initially my mom wanted a french twist but Kelly created a more updated and fun look, twisting and curling the hair into a more modern take of what my mom wanted. And she loved it :)

Back of mom's head.

The upper half of my hairstyle, really like the twists.

Make up for the bridesmaids went well. Airbrushing, false lashes, blush. Seamless and beautiful.

Kelly asked how the trial hair and make up held up. My make up was fine and lasted through going to the beach and the hot day. The hair's body came down a bit and the curls were lost after a few hours on the beach. We looked at the photos she took from the trial and came up with solutions to those problems. When I was all done, she attached the gardenia to my hair.

I really liked my look. It was clean, fresh, and easy. Due to the heat of the day and sweating, my curls came down and were more wavy (which I am totally fine with). Also loved how it had body and movement.

All in all I was very pleased with their services. They were very professional, prepared, neat, worked well, and cared about how we looked. Definitely recommend them to any brides in SB/LA.
