hmh 2014: Sparks and Circles

Tiny Sparks and Free Circles come together for some goodness in the Sparks and Circles Collection. I am really in love with my two other collections, so why not combine them to make something soft and bright, free with a touch of color. The pendants add a small touch of shine while the stud earrings brighten and flatter. They're such great luxurious touches for everyday.

Garnet studs.

Sparks and Circles pendants come with labradorite, garnet, amethyst, and peridot gemstones!

Hoping these necklaces are well received by shoppers at Unique LA this weekend :)

hmh ss 2014: Tiny Sparks

Gemstones are some of my most favorite materials to work with. Their natural feel and shine are great matches to smooth gold. I've made various necklaces, earrings, and bracelets with gemstones, but wanted to try my hand at setting and mounting gemstones. Gold filled rings are my choice pieces, so the set gems would be on rings and studs earrings.

Amethyst, garnet, and peridot are my current gems of choice. I chose a tiny gem size (4mm) for a sweet and understated look. Yet, their cut bring a great shine and sparkle. A tiny spark, if you will.

The Tiny Sparks Collection will debut at the Unique LA Spring Show this weekend!!

My Heart & Gems Earrings

At the last Gem Faire, I picked up a handful of new gemstones for Fall. They were smaller than my normal gemstone pendants but perfect for an idea I was playing with regarding earring styles and hearts. A little time in the studio, lots of time forming hearts, and I present you with My Heart & Gems Earrings.

The hearts are gold fill and mini in size. They needed something to anchor them and the gems were perfect for the job. Not only do they grab attention, they also add a pop of color and depth to the look.

I'm super excited for these earrings. They add to my Fall collection nicely, which will premiere mid-October :)

Happy Friday friends.

Rock Candy XL

The Rock Candy collection gets a little bit heavier with these XL necklaces. Huge gemstones anchor this necklace while little stones and pearls add a familiar RC detail and complementary color. These statement makers keep it casual yet dress it up.

Above is a smooth turquoise stone. It's smaller partners are a white freshwater pearl, light blue aquamarine, labradorite, pyrite, and tiny lapis. Together these pieces make a one of a kind necklace, so perfect for those summer festivals.

Gorgeous one of a kind faceted ametrine stones hang at the center of this necklace. They are paired with purple and yellow gemstones and freshwater pearls, aka Lakers colors.

Yellow jade, yellow freshwater pearl, citrine, amethyst, purple freshwater pearl.

A little more sugar can't hurt right?

Pendant Statements

The recent honey my heart gem stone necklaces have been simple and I wanted to change that. While I love the simplicity of a single stone and chain, I also love a necklace with lots and lots detail. Details like large pendants, mixing gem stones, coordinating colors, and finding balance. Each of these details come together in our new Pendant Statement collection.

I like the look of asymmetry. This piece of blue chalcedony adds a little bit of fun to the balanced green chalcedony chain.

Lapis + chalcedony.

Chalcedony + pink quartz + aquamarine.

Pink chalcedony + pink quartz + green quartz.

I think I need some deep v-neck blouses.

Simple Statement Earrings

I purchased some gorgeous chalcedony briolette strands and knew they would be prefect accents to/updates for a prior collection (Statement Drops). The strands held soft pink, creamy blue, minty green, and bright orange chalcedony briolettes, all colors I am liking for Spring. The briolette shape is perfect as a pendant, a charm that can stand alone or as an end piece among other charms. I really love it's similarity to a tear drop shape. With some wrapping of the top with gold fill wire, the briolettes were ready to be attached to other jewelry components. While the briolettes would be great as pendants on necklaces, I wanted to pair them with my simple statements. The briolettes at the bottom are a great anchor for a bright and flirty pair of earrings. Hope you like them!

Happy Thursday! Hope you have a great rest of the week.

Simple Statements for Spring

After a visit to the Gem Faire last month, I came home with a lot of hand selected gem stones. These stones are wrapped in 24k gold, are faceted to reflect light and accentuate the color, and are so light weight. They are a perfect update of one of our styles (Simple Statements) and reflect Spring time nicely.

The necklaces hold larger gemstones for a fuller look. Above is pink chalcedony.

Sun stone. I wish I could capture how wonderfully the specks in the pendant sparkle when they catch the light.

Soft blue chalcedony reminds me of the soft blue sky.

Labradorite and moonstone. Both have an excellent blue flash when the facets catch the light.

The bracelets hold smaller gems for easy wear around the wrist. I tried to find gems with colors that would look great on any skin tone.

Hope you all like them! I will be sharing more and more of the Spring collection in the upcoming weeks.

Statement Drops

Inspired by the Simple Statements style brought about the design and assembly of these Statement Drops. Continuing with the gemstone and shell materials, each piece is edged in 14k gold and sized larger to add more appeal. The colors are naturally light yet pop and the soft shapes paired together for a drip drop style. I heart the simple femininity, understated luxury of the earrings. Hope you like them, too!

SB. Yellow shell and gorgeous blue turquoise.

Peridot and Peruvian opal reminds me of sorbets.

Amethyst and yellow shell. At least one of my pieces in each style/collection must be Lakers colors ;)

Drops of love.

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
