I love perfume. It is the fanciful, luxurious item essential to one's wardrobe. The hidden accessory lingering throughout the day, that ties your look together, it says lots about your style without showing anything at all. Perfume is a perfect complement to the ensemble that is a wedding wardrobe. Through the years I have fallen for the pretty scents of the following perfumes: Clinique Happy, Victoria's Secret Pink, Kenneth Cole Black, Chanel Gardenia, and Daisy Marc Jacobs. All have the ability to trigger memories of the past and uplift my spirit. With flowery tones and fresh feelings, each perfume stands beautifully on it's own, but one is my favorite.Daisy is such a lovely scent and described as radiant, floral and fresh. Black carries light and dark floral notes of white hyacinth, black violet, fresh citrus. Pink and Happy remind me of college, with light floral and fruity tones.Gardenia is my favorite scent. It was re-released a few years back, made available at department stores, but is now a Chanel boutique exclusive. A scent reminiscent of the gardenia flower, it contains top notes of absolutes of jasmine, gardenia, orange blossom, and tuberose, heart notes of clove, sage, pimiento, and base notes of musk, patchouli, sandalwood, and vetiver. I am obsessed with the gardenia flower, the look and smell, and plan to have one as a hair flower for the wedding. We want to incorporate it into bouquets, bouts, and reception decor. Also Gardenia by Chanel is the perfume I keep returning to. I love that it's flowery and classic and can be worn during any season. As the perfect scent to top off my wedding style, it will be my wedding perfume :) Do you have a signature scent or go through phases? Which scent will you be wearing to the wedding?Blog title is from lyrics by the Bouncing Souls
A great detail to include in one's wedding is perfume & cologne. I find that scents have memories tied to them and what better way to remember your wedding than by wearing your favorite perfume or smelling your hubby's cologne. My favorite scents are flowery gardenia and daisy, but I'm always looking for something new and fun.
Harajuku Lovers recently came out with 5 different perfumes inspired by and named after Gwen, Love, Angel, Music, and Baby. What excited me most about this scent set was their uniquely cute packaging. Each scent is in a cute bottle, capped with the corresponding super cute character. While in Nordstrom last weekend we checked out the scents. Gwen was very coconutty. Love was fresh. Angel and Music complemented each other, both with subtle fruity scents and combined form another unique scent. And Baby had powdery undertones. They sell cute mini bottles ($25), regular size bottles ($45), and sold fragrance heads ($60 for all). I bought a small Love bottle and am so tempted to purchase more, just the packaging :)
Above are photos of the packaging and scent I purchased. This is totally kawaii and very cute for wedding details.
