The flowers are beginning to bloom around town. Their bright colors have been making my day and I would like to share my favorites with you.

Carved Shell Flowers and Tiny Pearls

For the Spring I wanted to update one of my favorite styles, the Carved Shell Flower Earrings. A little tweaking of the original style, some material changes, and gathering inspiration from my surrounding environment gives these earrings a fresh new look. The carved shell and freshwater pearl materials are inspired by the walks on the beach and natural materials found there, while the flowers are inspired by the blossoms of the Spring season. This updated version comes as dangling earrings, and as a matching set of earrings and necklace.

It has been a very busy few weeks here at honey my heart hq and I took a blogging break without even realizing it! So I wanted to do a little post to update everyone on the recent activity through photos.


I was retweeted by the Lakers on Superbowl Sunday. They also sent me a personal reply. It was amazing and made my week :)


Paper Source opened in Santa Barbara!! No more trips out of town to pick up my favorite stationery. And their soft opening was Feb 10, my birthday.


Speaking of birthday, I put together some dinner invitations for friends and family. I think mailing invitations is so much better than evites or facebook events.


There were also birthday goody bags! Above is what went into them.

My first trunk show! Sprinkled throughout the table are some of my favorite pieces. I am planning an overhaul of my table display, and hoping to recreate something that looks like this for the Spring shows. More photos are here.

A heavier take on my rock candy collection. This one with an XL piece of turquoise. It's so spring/summer. I can't wait to post more about this collection next month!!

Just say yes! I love the "oui" rings by Dior and was inspired to create a couple of necklaces for Local Love. These "oui" pendants are hand formed sterling silver wire, sanded, soldered, and polished. I would love to see a bride wear this on her wedding day.

DIY: Love Expressions & Doily Cards

On the heels of last week's Doily and Hearts Cards, and inspired by last year's cards, comes another simple Valentine's Day card DIY. With the use of some letterpress love cards, these cards say "I love you" in different ways.


Ingredients for this DIY include heart and circle doilies, love cards (you can make your own or buy some from Paper Source), glue, and card stock.

Place the doilies and love cards as you please. Other details like glitter or washi tape can be additional embellishments, too.
