Enjoying Spring

The flowers continue to bloom in the neighborhood and it's so beautiful. I'm continually inspired by the bright hues and new life. Both help me create new color stories and new jewelry pieces for Spring/Summer. This bush of pink flowers is a definite favorite!

I'm also enjoying the blue skies and palm trees. There's just something so CA cool about them.

In other news, honey my heart jewelry is now restocked at Weekend Lovers in Los Angeles.

Hope you're all enjoying the week!!

My Mini Heart Rings

Heart rings are a honey my heart staple. I shape, form, and forge each heart piece from sterling silver or gold fill wire, then solder ring bands to each, finishing with lots of hammering, tumbling, and polishing. Each heart piece is given the utmost attention and is truly unique. I like to tell customers that if they bought one and their best friend bought one, each heart piece would still be one of a kind. I like that detail about my heart jewelry. When I found out I was pregnant, I stopped soldering. I didn't want to breathe some of the fumes or use a torch. I still wanted to continue to offer heart rings, but knew I couldn't offer the soldered ones for the next few months. There was a lot of experimenting with sterling silver and gold fill wire, and I am happy to have found a very good alternative!

Pre-linked chain allow me to form continuous hearts without soldering them, and these hearts are now wrapped/hugged by sterling silver or gold fill wire. These rings are still hammered and tumbled for strength, and then polished. The care and craftsmanship is still of utmost importance, and these rings are definitely a happy addition to the hmh classic collection.

My Mini Heart Rings are now in the shop!!

Baby Shower Details

My mom is throwing my baby shower, but I told her I needed full reign on the design. It's something to keep my busy, something I like to do, and something that would ensure the shower was definitely me & hubs. It also allows me to add my aesthetic to the day as well as use the decor for our home and baby's space. The shower is in a few weeks, and I wanted to share a few of the details that are going into it.

Mood board of sorts with my favorite colors right now, lots of washi tape, and heart stickers.

Invitations. A little washi tape accent means no two invitations are alike!

Washi tape decorated dessert flags.

Tissue decor.

We are still playing around with the menu and desserts and registry, but it's nice to have the design all prepared. Hoping the day comes together nicely. Can't wait to decorate the lounge :)

Weekender: Flowers and Food

The weekend was spent enjoying LA. We went Downtown for some jewelry findings (so excited about the new styles!!) and walked around the Arts District and Japantown enjoying the sun and our favorite food spots. The flowers in bloom were definite show stoppers and the bites we had were delicious. It was a good weekend!

Carne asada taco and hoisin chicken bun from Flying Pig.

Grilled pork bahn mi! Sooo good and love the baguette.

Hubs enjoying the Earl Grey Pie at The Pie Hole. So good!!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I am looking forward to a good week ahead.

Freshness and Spring

The warm weather this past week has been such a treat. I've enjoyed dining al fresco and all the yummy fruit in season . And the Spring Forward has been a happy welcome of more daylight! It's so awesome how fresh and fun this season is becoming, so inspiring to create and add color to life.

Currently, I am prepping for baby and prepping my new jewelry collection. Baby classes, baby registry, baby clothes! And hearts and hearts galore. There's so much in the works (most are surprises!) but I did want to share a couple of photos.

Gold filled mini hearts were originally available in a light roper texture, and now come in a smooth texture!

And the new collection will slowly be making it's way to the etsy shop each week. I'm so happy to have already sold one of my favorite pieces in the new collection!!

This weekend will consist of more baby classes and creating. Hope you enjoy yours :)

DIY: Lucky in Love

Hi friends! I took a little blog break (being pregnant and planning the next few months is pretty crazy!) but I'm happy to be back and have a fun DIY to share. My love for all things hearts has given me a large collection of heart stickers in a wide array of colors. When playing around with how to use them, and with St. Patrick's Day coming soon, I noticed that a clover's leaves look like hearts! And the heart stickers would be perfect clover leaves.

Start with a heart on top, then add 2 hearts to each side. For the bottom of the clover, I just cut a piece off one of the heart stickers and attached it. The finished clovers would look great on card stock, envelopes, and I chose gift tags.

Perfect gift tags for St. Pat's! Tie them to a six pack or stick them to a card to celebrate the holiday.

Hope you are lucky in love!!
