The ordering process was easy, I was asked to review/verify stamp text, and the stamp came 10 business days after placing the order. I really like the craftsmanship and quality of the stamp, and have been putting my blog name on every piece of paper I can get a hold of ;) Please visit their etsy shop and blog.

Primele Name Stamp
I have been wanting to update and trying to find a new font or design for my blog name for a while now. I like how the current header looks, but I wanted a more personal font that I could use on the blog and on the backs of my cards, something that was sort of my signature. After a lot of bloggers (Oh Joy, decor8, So Happi Together, Oh So Beautiful Paper) covered the beautiful calligraphy from Primele, I knew I found it. The fun curves and flirty angles of the words were perfectly me, so I decided to order a custom name stamp of my blog name.
This came in the mail on Friday :)

Stamp and preview.
I chose an orchid color ink to stamp with, a perfect mix of pink and purple.
Instructions were to "ink the stamp thoroughly, then press it gently but firmly to the paper." I did a few test before I was comfortable stamping the backs of my cards.
honey my heart on back of yellow card.
Yay, I'm happy :) Next step is to update my header!

And globes and maps are all around me now, part II
I am very pleased to say that our Laura Hooper maps arrived safe and sound, and in some lovely packaging. Even the mister commented that he liked the paper it was wrapped in.
There was also a nice letterpress thank you card. Mmm letterpress :) So pretty.
Here is a look at our map (please excuse low quality photos). We both agree that while artsy, the map came out pretty true to the locations of each icon. The icons were also sooo cute! I am really loving the turtles.
We chose Camden calligraphy because of the cute and light-hearted feeling, and I liked the way the "J" looks. While it doesn't say "Save the Date", we like to say "Save Our Date", it really doesn't matter too much. We kind of overlooked it. A detail I really like are the the arrows that point towards UCSB (where we met) and Los Angeles (Go Lakers). I also really like the ring icon noting our ceremony location and cake icon noting our reception location. And the bride and groom zipping away in the car is so super cute. We also wanted to note the Santa Barbara Mountains for their beauty and to remember the fire victims of the past year.Another note about the map is that because of the shape of the Santa Barbara coastline, the mountains are north and the ocean is south. Although the 101 freeway says North and South, it's running east to west. This is random, and I'm sure guests will ask why the compass reads the way it does. I'll just tell them to check a map ;) and we have lovely Mediterranean weather because of it.
Laura was so super cool to work with, professional, accommodating, and so kind. We corresponded through email and I received everything (replies, proofs, updates) in such a timely manner (she even returned an email while on vacation!!). Her map design was just what we wanted, turning out so unique and beautiful. The end product is just so great and my overall experience makes me smile :) I would definitely recommend her to any of you!
And now I'm hoping the mister appreciates the beauty of the maps and agree to splurge on some LH Calligraphy invites. Letterpress invites.
