Wedding at the SB Historical Museum

One of my college friends was married in Santa Barbara last weekend. It was a beautiful celebration, styled perfectly with the couple's personalities shining through, and a great reunion. I love weddings, love, and was so happy to share in this fete.

The wedding was held at the SB Historical Museum (blogged here) It's such a serene place, very SB, very nice. The reception held in a lower courtyard and the couple stood below an awesome pergola to frame the scene.

Groom and groomsmen await.

Bride and her parents. So happy!

They did a sand ceremony, mixing 2 different colored sands into one jar to symbolize the unity of the couple. It's one of my favorite rituals to see at weddings. And loved that they used blue and yellow, UCSB colors!

Kiss! Officially husband and wife.

Pinata card box. Love this idea and all of the bright colors. The reception was decorated in such festive colors and had an Old Spanish Days feel/theme. It was quite perfect for the location.

The salsa bar open during the reggae cocktail hour offered lots of flavors to enjoy. I loved the corn salsa and the mango salsa.

Details of the bride's bouquet. So many amazing colors and textures in these flowers!

Tile place cards. Once you find your name and table assignment you flip the tile over. When all the tiles are flipped over their designs show and create a beautiful and large mural.

A rainbow of banners and lights hung festively above the reception site.

I loved the scene. It's so SB.

My tile, mini cacti, and mason jar cocktail.

Bride and me. Her style definitely shone through in her wedding day attire.

Mother-Son and Father-Daughter danced to "Stand by Me"

Sun's going down. I really love the banners.

Dancing time!

Lighting sparklers for the couple's exit!

It was such an amazing day and night. I love every detail and the great atmosphere created. Huge congrats to A & B!

Such a beautiful wedding. The ceremony site was so romantic and the rest of the party was bright and colorful -- exactly what a party should be. Looks like it was fun!
