Levitated Mass

Levitated Mass is one of LACMA's exhibits that I long wanted to experience. The thought of walking under a 340 ton granite megalith, experience it in an environment unlike any other, and get a close up look was something that piqued my curiosity. And 456-foot-long concrete slot beneath the rock and the surrounding area that allowed us to walk under the rock was just amazing.

It's hard to explain how massive this rock is, so I'll let the photos do the talking.

Organic and straight lines.

Photo illusion fun!

Blue sky, palm trees, concrete wall. I like these lines.

Hubs having a little fun.

The masterful thought and work that went into Levitated Mass is quite impressive. I highly suggest you see it.
