Blog friend It's Heavenly tweeted about Truck Norris a few weeks back and after stalking them on twitter, we were finally able to try some great deliciousness. Truck Norris offers delicious Hawaiian Filipino gourmet food. Their menu touches on Hawaiian faves (shrimp, short ribs), Filipino goodness (hello sisig), and fusion (Filipino food in tacos), specials (sheppard's pie!!), and desserts (wontons and lumpia stuffed w/ goodness). We were able to try a little bite 2 weeks ago in Silver Lake, and then some more last weekend at the Silver Lake Jubilee!

Sheppard's Pie! Soft mashed potato layers, sauteed ground beef, melty cheese, sour cream, and bacon. A perfectly wonderful bite of textures and flavors.
Lumpia S'mores. Milk chocolate and marshmallow filled lumpia is deep fried, sliced, and topped with chocolate sauce and graham crackers. These are not your Filipino mother's lumpia ;)Thanks for being so awesome Truck Norris, can't wait to try more of your grub!

I love sheppard's pie, and that looks super yummy. But I fail to see how it fits in with Hawaiian or Filippino.
@Aubrey S.: it was under their "specials" portion of the menu. i guess they added it as something different to appease the food truck masses. we ordered it because it looks good ;)
