Future Prospects

I have begun working on a new project. It is something that I can focus all of my energy on, something that can keep my interest for a while, something fun that I can share with others. While card making/design holds my heart, I think it is time to expand. I love creativity and diy, making things with my hands, making things I can use, and pretty flowers, so I am going to try my hand out at jewelry making.

The last 3 weeks have me in the beginning stages. Researching supplies and prices, ordering things I need and realizing what I don't need, laying out/playing with patterns and designs, figuring out if what I like will be what others like. I'm also trying to correlate my card aesthetic and design with my jewelry aesthetic and design. So far there are a few prototypes that I am very happy with. I've tweeted a few photos and here is a sneak peak of one of my prospects, taken on my blackberry.


While this project is in it's infancy stage, I am already excited of what could be! An etsy shop is something I am working towards. I am also lucky that a few bloggers have recently written great posts about business lessons, small business tips, blogging tips for etsy sellers, and etsy tips, giving me confidence in starting one. I welcome your thoughts on this and any ideas, tips, suggestions :)
