It's Friday I'm in love: Ceremony Rehearsal

The week leading up to our rehearsal was filled with diy projects, organization of goods and packing, last minute purchases, making final plans and tweaks to our itinerary, and just getting excited. Our families and bridal party were to arrive on Friday afternoon, so we waited and anticipated their arrival and the beginning of the festivities all week.

Our rehearsal was on Friday, September 25 at 5pm. We all met at the side of the Old Mission for photos before the church coordinator arrived. Weddings at the Mission have their own church coordinator run the rehearsal and the wedding ceremony, but our DOC, Anna, was also there to be in the loop and for support.

My grandma, sister/MOH, me, my mom, and the mister.

My grandma, my sister/MOH, me, and my mom. 3 generations :)

My family. Most of us wore purple and yellow since we wanted to wear the wedding colors.

Funny story, the mister and I arrived at the Mission as a trolley full of 20-somethings were leaving and someone yells, "Go Lakers!" We both turned to look back, thinking to ourselves, "did we just hear that correctly?" and the same person goes, "see I told you all they were Lakers fans! They're wearing the colors!" And that just about made our day. A random stranger noticed our outfits, identified our favorite team, and made our day :)

Us.

The mister and his mom. He is the youngest so she was both happy to send him off and sad to see him go.

FMIL, mister, Brother/BestMan. The bros look a lot a like and were sometimes confused for one another during the wedding.

Groomsman, FMIL, mister.

Cousins with their parents and our grandma. These girlies rocked such cute outfits all weekend long.

My sister and I reviewing the photos :)

Pat, one of the two church coordinators, met us out front and ran the rehearsal. She small and sweet, but a hard worker and kept everything on track :)

Rehearsal lasted a little under an hour. We went over walking down the aisle and at what pace, where we would sit and stand, the readings, and when things would occur. Instead of a bouquet, I carried my flower clutch down the aisle :)

This is how we would stand during our vows, with MOH and BM at our sides.

We would sit next to Father Daniel during the ceremony.

We got a first look at our programs, prepared by Roy Spicer who is the Mission's Music Director. The look is simple and classic, we like it!

Anna was so attentive and very helpful during the rehearsal. She also headed over to the restaurant early to ensure that our dinner was set up nicely.

To have both of our families together and preparing for the ceremony just overwhelmed us with love and joy. We tried soaking in the moment, knowing that many more would come in the next day :)
