Farmers Market Freshness

A fun fact about the Santa Barbara area is that there is a Farmers' Market you can visit every day of the week. There's one downtown, in Goleta, a few blocks from the beach, and on one of the more popular strips, etc. All locations are perfect, bringing each part of the city a chance for fresh and local foods and flowers.

I love that we live 2 blocks from ours. And on summer afternoons, strolling along and through the booths are quite perfect.

Fresh produce and bright colors have me ready to cook.

Fruit baskets are a must purchase.

Honey

Fresh flowers are my fave and also a must purchase.

I love buying local.

How often do you visit your Farmers' Market? What are your must buys?

I lived two blocks from my farmer's market while I was in Brooklyn. I totally should have taken more advantage of it because I totally miss it now.

I love farmer's markets, but sadly we don't have any near me! We go a lot when we are on vacation though! Those berries look delicious!

I love farmer's markets! I try to go every week but this summer it's been a bit difficult with the beach house and all. We have one right within our complex that happens every Sunday but we're never in the city. We'll take full advantage of it come fall :)

Years ago I lived in a town with a fantastic farmer's market. They had the best French breakfast radishes, and I learned to eat them with butter and salt. I love your pretty pictures!

our local farmer's market is every wednesday. i'm sure there are more in the area but i only know of 1 close by. except your produce looks a lot healthier than the ones i've seen in our market. lol

Only two blocks? You are so incredibly lucky! I already miss my farmer's markets in San Diego. It's not the same here in NJ -- there really aren't any markets out here, and the stuff that is local isn't organic. I need to get myself to a city. Preferably one on the West Coast.

Here in the San Francisco, we have just about everyday too, except for Monday I think. I go at least once a week in winter, and two or three different markets in summer. Love them.
