Weekender: We Like to Eat Food

One detail that I love about the weekends is that we are more prone to eat out. A date night Friday night, yummy Saturday snacks, and Sunday brunch. Here are a few of our favorite meals from the last few days.

Tuna box sushi from Takenoya in Goleta. Yummy with a bit of heat.


Pretty large cupcakes from Cafe Fresco. The frosting on these is pretty ridiculous. Mmm!


Best part about the weekend was that the KogiBBQ truck made it's first trip to Santa Barbara! I had been looking forward to this all week, totally studying the menu, and happily waited in line for over an hour to get some delicious bites.


Short rib, spicy pork, and chicken tacos. I absolutely love the slaw on top of these. Mmm.

Kimchi quesedilla. Ooo spicy and yummy :) I read that kogibbq will try to come back to SB and cannot wait until they do.


Sunday brunches are my favorite way to end the weekend. We went to Bagel Cafe in IV, a college favorite, for the best bagels in the SB area.




And I got my usual (going on 7 years) order the Deluxe Melt: a bagel of your choice (everything bagel!), sundried tomato cream cheese, tomato, cheddar cheese, red onions, and lemon pepper. Light, tasty, satisfying.
