Tell me something good: RSVP Responses

Having a "Words of Wisdom" section on our RSVP postcards, I definitely looked forward to receiving each one in the mail. While there were a many blank postcards, there were guests who definitely took the time to write something great and very heartfelt. Below are a few of my favorites.

"The Number 1" and "The Number 2" were written by two of my mother's best friends. They are written to relate to one another and very sweet.

"The Number 1. One is the loneliest number, buy one take one, only one moment in time... one can be two (but) and yet stay one."

"The Number 2. It takes 2 to tango, tea for 2, one if by land 2 if by sea, takes 2 to get pregnant - but the best thing about this number is two can live, love, and be happy as one. "

There were plenty religious and thoughtful notes :)

Two of the fiance's fraternity brothers married their long time girlfriends this summer. We loved hearing their thoughts on the day.

And loved hearing a guy's wisdom, "Lie, cheat, steal, and drink your way to a happy marriage. If you must lie, lie with the one you love. If you cheat, cheat death. If you steal, steal from bad company. If you drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away!"

Song lyrics were a popular choice, loved the one above from "Summer of Love" by 311.

And of course the Beatles.

Members of our family wrote very kind words.

But my favorite, and the winner of best postcard, was from my high school friend Theresa.

She has 2 corgis, we always talk about corgis, and if I could have a dog I'd want a corgi. She drew the fiance and myself with corgis. Love.

I plan keep these in a scrapbook after the wedding :)

Blog title is from lyrics by Rufus and Chaka Khan

Sweet notes! The drawing with the corgis is great. I have a corgi, and you definitely always notice the ears first!

I love these! I had seen something like this online where the bride put it on a table at the wedding as her guest book & the guests would then put it in a bowl, but I love them as RSVP cards even more because it allows the guest more time to think of what they want to say.
