Gemstones are some of my most favorite materials to work with. Their natural feel and shine are great matches to smooth gold. I've made various necklaces, earrings, and bracelets with gemstones, but wanted to try my hand at setting and mounting gemstones. Gold filled rings are my choice pieces, so the set gems would be on rings and studs earrings.
Amethyst, garnet, and peridot are my current gems of
choice. I chose a tiny gem size (4mm) for a sweet and understated look.
Yet, their cut bring a great shine and sparkle. A tiny spark, if you
will.
