Hoop Earring Packaging

My usual earring packaging consists of card stock stamped with the honey my heart logo. It works for stud earrings and dangle earrings, but didn't look right with hanging hoops. Because the hoops hang from almost the edge of the card and the logo is smallish, there was just too much open space. There was not enough depth. I brainstormed a few option (using business cards, stamping my logo multiple times), and then I turned to my washi tape collection.

Washi tape is one of my current favorite items to use when packaging and in card design. Not only does it hold things together, but the designs and variety of colors brings depth. Below are a few of the cards that hold my hoops.

Teal, blue, and light blue work well with these blue stone and silver earrings.

And teal, light blue, and purple to complement the gold fill and amethyst earrings.

I'm excited to see how the hoops are received this weekend.

What are your favorite uses for washi tape?

PS happy Thursday! Who's excited for The Office tonight?

I really want to get washabi tape. It looks awesome with these. Oh and I was iffy about the office without Michael, but I think it was better than I expected. I'm not sure I like where they are going with it, but I did laugh while watching it.
