Today is Loving Day. A day to celebrate the 1967 Loving v. Virginia Supreme Court decision that legalized interracial marriage in the United States. This couple's fervent fight for the right to marry paved the way for such a great freedom. It's a freedom that we should carry in our hearts and minds, considering that not all Americans have the right to marry. And a reminder to push for continued progress in our lives, with overflowing hope in our hearts.
What an awesome name for the day:) Although I don't agree with same sex marriage, I do think its a wonderful thing that inter-racial marriage is now a beautiful part of our culture!
