Sushi is usually reserved as a once a month indulgence. Hubs and I would pick a special night to go to one of our favorite spots, order multiple rolls and sashimi, and just enjoy. But with it being the season of Lent and no meat on Fridays, sushi has slowly become a sort of staple for our Friday night meal. I know we are only a couple of Fridays into Lent, but it's just been nice to spoil ourselves a little.
Here are a few of my favorites.
Scallop Nigiri, Philly Roll, Ichiban Roll, Tuna Hand Roll.
A whole lot of roe over salmon and over rice.
Chirashi!!
Tuna box sushi.
If you are refraining from meat on Fridays during Lent, what foods to you eat?

YUM! I want all of this! :)
I love sushi!! There's no way I would be able to only have it once a month though. I'm glad you're indulging!
i've never been a big sushi fan... but i always think it looks so amazing. :)
Delish!!! I can't ever get enough of sushi. It's usually our Fri or Sat night treat :)
Hope u had a great weekend, sweetie xoxo
Not a bad treat for lent! We increasingly eat less and less meat - mushroom and spinach sandwiches, tofu stew, and frittatas are just fine for us!
i actually gave up meat for lent (except fish) - for the entire time not just fridays. i've been eating TONS of fish!! i could eat sushi every day!
@Megan: how cool to give up meat all of Lent! let's get sushi next time we're both in la :)
