It was such a treat and break to take a long weekend and visit the in-laws for Thanksgiving. They live in northern CA and the drive up is a long one, but some scenic views, like the above taken just past sunset on the 101 north after El Capitan, make it not so bad.

One of our favorite things to do while visiting family is playing with our niece. She is just such a fun and energetic kid, always talking our ears off and thinking of activities for us to do.
